When newbie Dawn chooses to babysit the hardest kids, the first day goes like a breeze. Other than the fact that the mom told her nothing, Dawn has a good time helping out. So naturally, Dawn keeps getting called to this house. But when Dawn’s kid, Buddy, goes missing she has no one to call. Will she find Buddy? I love this book as it is a very interesting book. I like how Dawn was put under so much responsibility and how she had to try to break out of it. I also love the new artwork and plot by Gale Galligan. He is an amazing artist! Overall I would rate this book 4 stars!

Claudia is the sister to Janine. And they are quite the opposites. While Claudia is known for her creativity, Janine is the kind of person who spews facts out like a machine. And they have a hard time getting along. But when Mimi, Claudia and Janine’s grandma, has a serious stroke they are both left to take care of each other for a while. Will they get together? I love this book as it is a very relatable book. As a younger sister, I constantly feel like I am too similar or too different from my older brother. And, many other people have dealt with similar situations of Claudia and Janine.

When Mary Anne and her friends get into a fight, she is left with no choice but to leave her friends and sit alone during lunch. Not only that, but she is dealing with her stern father at home. Mary Anne starts having a hard time trying to make new friends, while also being a part of the babysitter’s club. Will she be back? I love this book as it is a very relatable book. I like how they show Mary Anna being pushed away due to an argument because it is something that happens to a lot of friends.

Though everything is going pretty well with the babysitter’s club, Stacey seems as though she is hiding something. Well, she is. Stacey recently got diagnosed with diabetes, and she had to move across the country for it. Unfortunately, she has been hiding this from her friends until someone spills the secret. Will she stay as treasurer of the babysitter’s club? I love this book as it is a very nostalgic book. I remember waiting to read it every night because of how relaxing yet relatable it was.

When Kristy’s mom has trouble trying to book a babysitter, Kristy comes up with an idea. A babysitter’s club! So, Kristy invites all of her closest friends to join and be a part of the club. Now seeming like a great start, but only a few people call in for a babysitter. Will Kristy and her friends find a way to get more jobs? I love this book as it is a very relatable book. It brings back so many memories and it is very nostalgic. I recommend the graphic novel book for anyone who wants to see amazing artwork, but the novel version is also amazing.

Feelings are enigmatic yet vital to humans. Matt Wainwright narrates his erratic emotions in the book A Short History of the Girl Next Door by Jared Reck. Matt is a socially awkward athlete who is in love with his best friend. Juggling school, sports, his family and friends around, Matt overall seems like a normal teenager.
